I share my story because it helped me become the outspoken resilient woman I am today. Sharing my story helps destigmatize abortion and show people that they’re not alone and it’s okay to have an abortion. 

Abortion Advice: My advice is to not be afraid to reach out to family and friends that you could trust if you are feeling down. This is a hard decision and even though you made the right one for yourself, we all need a little support from time to time. 

How I honor my abortion: I honor my abortion because it gave me a new way to view self-love. I love myself more because of my abortion, I know that I will always have myself no matter what. 

What is your favorite abortion story on TV?

My favorite depiction of abortion on TV is when Cassie from Euphoria had an abortion. She was able to reach out to her mother for support and when they showed her having an abortion, it cut to Cassie figure skating. It showed that during the procedure Cassie went to her happy place and reminded me how nervous I was right before getting anesthesia. I was able to relate to the scene.
